Florida is facing record heat, stronger hurricanes, and growing health risks — but you don’t have to sit on the sidelines. The Environmental Justice Symposium is your chance to learn from leaders, connect with community voices, and discover real solutions you can be part of.

Join the Center for Earth Jurisprudence, the Environmental and Earth Law Clinic at Barry University School of Law, Orange County Government, and Commissioner Nicole Wilson as they present a special one-day event featuring local leaders, climate resilience advocates, legal scholars, and a collection of young voices as they offer insight into the challenges our state faces as it relates to heat, hurricanes, and health.

We’re excited to share that the Environmental Justice Symposium will feature a government panel with Commissioner Nicole Wilson, Senator Smith, Representative Anna Eskamani, and Sarah Elbadri. They’ll discuss how leadership and policy can shape solutions to Florida’s biggest challenges: heat, hurricanes, and health.

From conservation to climate justice, nonprofits are on the frontlines of protecting Florida’s future. At the Environmental Justice Symposium, you’ll learn practical ways to get involved, support solutions, and connect with groups making a real impact.

Please join us on the campus of Barry University School of Law and support meaningful conversations about how climate change impacts our communities and what we can do to prepare and protect one another.
